The Albanian Energy Corporation (KESH) sold 400,000 MW/h of energy to private operators.
This is one of the highest quantities sold in a month, giving the corporate 13.5 million EUR of revenues.
Top Channel compared the sale price with that of Hungary, which is as referring point for the region, and the difference is considerable.
KESH has sold it 33 to 34 EUR per MW, most of which was bought by the Albanian GSA, and the Serbian EFT companies. In Hungary, energy was sold with 39.9 EUR per mega, or 15 Euros more.
For the peak hours, KESH sold it with 41 EUR per mega, while the Hungarian company for 57.1 EUR, or 16 more.
If KESH had sold it with the same price as Hungary, that would be 4 million EUR more, including the export tariffs.
But even this time, public companies sell it with very low prices in the stock market when the country has a surplus production, and buy it at a much more expensive price when there is a drought crisis.
