Kapshtica, border checkpoint movement paralyzed

The movement of the emigrants who return to their working places through
the Kapshtica Border Checkpoint has been paralized for a few hours, after e defect.

According to the local authorities, the defect was registered in the computer system of the Albanian side of the border, while the Greek continued working normally.  

Sources say that electronics experts were able to repair the defect that has created long queues of vehicles and people.

After the New Year’s celebration, the massive circulation returned in the border checkpoints of the country, with Kapshtica the busiest of all.

Yesterday, travelers rushed from both sides of the border, while the Greek gates worked with reduced tolls, creating difficulties with the traffic.

The Albanians started working on January 2nd with 9 tolls, six of which in the exit gages and three in the entrances.

The Greek side started working with only one toll, causing long queues of vehicles.
