The political parties already disagree for article 88 of the Venice
Commission for the Justice Reform. But now they may disagree for a new
one, article 77 of the Parliament’s Regulation. An article that
determines the Parliamentary procedure that should be followed for the
Constitutional Amend.
The Socialist Parliamentary Group asked the Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta, to summon the Conference of Chairmen to make the justice reform draft part of the agenda, and have it pass in a normal session.
The Socialists say that the constitutional obligations were fulfilled by the Special Commission for the Justice Reform, and now they want it to be voted within the first half of July.
But the Parliament leader summoned the Regulation Council, instead, an institution that gives opinions about the interpretation of the Parliament’s Regulation. This is not a decision-making institution, but a case to understand what stance will be kept by the Socialist Movement for Integration.
The Democratic Party made their stance very clear when the Head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Edi Paloka, declared that the request of Socialists is a severe provocation for the opposition.
