The rapporteurs for Albania at the European Parliament, Eduard Kukan and
Knut Fleckenstein, have started a two-day visit in Tirana. Top Channel
asked Mr.Fleckenstein about the objectives of this visit.

“I am here with colleague Eduard Kukan to have a panorama of the developments that are related to the justice reform. We are happy about the reform so far”, Fleckenstein declared.

They will meet this afternoon with PM Rama, Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta, the Chairman of the Justice Reform Commission, Fatmir Xhafaj.

They will also meet the DP leader, Lulzim Basha; MP Eduard Halimi and justice reform expert, Enkelejd Alibeaj.

The rapporteurs were informed by the Chief of the EU mission in Tirana, Romana Vlahutin, about the recent developments. But the meeting that remained a mystery was that with former PM Sali Berisha.

The international representatives, including US ambassador Donald Lu, have held more frequent meetings with the former DP leader and the most active voice of the opposition in Parliament.

Although the meeting Kukan-Berisha was not part of the official announcement, it was that he was not excluded from the agenda of the European MPs who aim to convince all DP members to continue with the DP reform.
