Justice Minister:”We welcome German expertise”

During his visit in Germany, the Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani,
attended visits with councilors of Chancellor Merkel and German MPs,
focusing on the justice reform.
Manjani thanked Germany for the support and declared that the German expertise is welcome.
“The German expertise has not been excluded. We discussed to have the Croatian model more present in Albania. It is a model that has functioned there. We don’t have to reinvent the wheel, because other people have invented it before us. The model that Germany has given in Croatia is welcome in Albania too. Europeans and Americans are on board. Americans agree with this approach, that’s why we don’t have any cultural clash. Things are complementary. What we should do is convince ourselevs that we can make way to constitutional amends and reforms through consensus, deeper reforms that will clean the system”, Manjani said for DW.
