The Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani, met this Monday in Berlin with
the German counterpart, Haiko Maas, and with the Parliamentary Secretary
for Justice, Christian Lange.

During the meeting, Manjani valued the support and constant assistance that Germany has given to Albania. He said that without it Albania would not be in the NATO, and would not have the EU candidate status.

Manjani valued that the justice reform in Albania needs the German support and mentality.

“Albanians trust the German cars and products. We want to give a German motor to the Justice Reform, so that we can bring trust back to the justice reform”, Manjani said.

The Minister of Justice thanked the assistance of the EURALIUS mission and underlined that the procedural laws in Albania will be planned according to the German Model.

“The German culture for the law implementation is what Albania needs”, Manjani added.

The German Minister underlined that the justice reform is necessary for the country’s EU membership, while consensus between parties is needed for its longevity.
