The President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, declared that the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro is decisive for the visa liberalization of Kosovo, that’s why it should be ratified the soonest possible.
“This is a key step for the visa liberalization. Albanians and Serbs will be the first ones benefiting”, Jean-Claude Juncker declared.
Juncker visited Prishtina together with the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy, Federica Mogherini, and the Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn.
During the joint conference with President Thaci, Juncker said that the efforts against corruption and organized crime should be higher.
The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, underlined that the presence of European leaders in Kosovo is clear evidence of the EU dedication to the country, and he also added that Kosovo should be treated equally to other countries of the region.
The President of Kosovo guaranteed the EU officials that the Demarcation agreement will be voted in the days to come.
