Judges react against accusations

The Albanian Union of Judges declared that the court verdicts can be
discussed and analyzed professionally and impartially only after the
process is over in all grades, but not before.
Based on the accusations they received after the verdicts were given about the two most sensible cases for the public, “January 21st” and “Gerdec” trials, The Union declared that the process received defamations based on political purposes, which damage all chances to rebuild the public’s trust, without which the consolidation of the rule of law would be an illusion.
The union closed the declaration saying that this would hamper the already difficult work of judges, who are facing physical and verbal violence on a daily basis, inspired by this climate.
