Job fairs in Albania

The job fair is a good opportunity not only for students, but also for the people who are outside the job market.  The Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania tells about her 11-year experience with job seekers and employers.

“The fair held by the American Chamber of Commerce has been the only fair of this type for many years. I see as something positive the fact that the number of similar fairs has increased”.

The focus of the first two years was only on students, but there were also requests for experienced workers. This year, the next fair will be organized in the third week of May.

“We are working this year for what the students see as job practices, which could come during the last year of school or right after the studies. We hope that we will have an increase of the number of the interested companies this year”.

Some of the main job profiles were: lawyers, economists, engineers, Its, but the demands have been various, even for airplane engineers.

“For each vacant job there are 7-10 people who apply in average. The number has increased. If in the first year there were 11 companies that offered their practices, there were 20 people who were employed and now it has reached at 100”.

The job fairs function in the entire world, offering a job opportunity for the people who are able to win it.
