The Japanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Nobou Kishi, met today with the Albanian President, Bujar Nishani.
Nishani valued Japan’s commitment for opening the Embassy to Tirana, an event that will deepen the cooperation between both countries.
Minister Kishi expressed the readiness of his country to keep supporting the economic development and consolidation of democracy and the rule of law in Albania, and also continuing the commitment for peace and stability in Western Balkan.
The Japanese Minister then met with Ilir Meta, Parliament Speaker and President-elect of Albania. Meta valued the support Japan has given Albania in the area of economy, infrastructure, agriculture and culture. He expressed his conviction that cooperation between both countries will deepen in all areas.
Yesterday, the Japanese government inaugurated its embassy to Tirana, in a ceremony organized with the traditions and rituals of Japan, in presence of Ministers Ditmir Bushati and Milva Ekonomi.
