The January 21st victims’ relatives are revolted and saying that they
are having self-justice feelings, after the Court of Tirana found the
defendants not guilty for the murder of their relatives.

Hekuran Deda’s family in Laknas, Tirana, says that the verdict has reopened the wound.

“This was a second bullet for me. I was expecting justice. I saw Topalli on TV speaking very badly. What would she do if her son was killed”, declared Dudije Deda.

Zabit, Hekuran’s older brother declared that justice has had pressure from Prime Minister Berisha.

“This is a mafia and political decision, and the Prime Minister is the main responsible, with the others coming right after him. It’s a direct order by the Prime Minister. Both judges and prosecutors are trapped. The Prime Minister doesn’t scare us. We will do everything possible”, Zabit Deda declared.

Faik Myrtaj’s wife says that she will follow all legal ways.

“They didn’t rob anyone and didn’t kill anyone. The court’s verdict was very poorly made”, she said.

Her son, Renato, declared that he didn’t expect this verdict from the court.

“The Prime Minister should keep in mind that he might have covered this with court orders, but he has not covered everything. What will he do with the families of these people? Because our old tradition is that blood is taken with blood”, declared the son of Faik Myrtaj.

“This court verdict leads people to self-justice. That’s what we will ask”, declared Fitim Veizi, brother of Ziver Veizi.

The father of Aleks Nika declared on the phone that the court has not spoken for his son yet, and the investigations are still underway.
