The Tirana Penal Court continued with the interrogations for the January
21st case, against the National Guard General, Ndrea Prendi, and
officers Agim Llupo and Margarit Kume.
Among the witnesses was the journalist Flamur Vezaj, who testified about a video footage that was posted online on the day of the tragedy, which shows the death of Ziver Veizi.
The journalist declared that he was following the demonstration as the other journalists, and that he had downloaded the video that served for opening the case about Ziver Veizi’s murder from the web page of a television.
The cameras were allowed to film Vezaj’s interview only for a few minutes, but then the trial continued behind closed doors.
One of the witnesses in this session was Hysni Peposhi, who testified for Hekuran Deda, who was also killed in the demonstration.
Peposhi told the court that he was turning his head to ask his friend for a cigarette, but he saw him dead. The witness admitted that the bullets came from within the Prime Minister’s office.
