Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Socialist MP, Sajmir Tahiri, testified this Tuesday at the Tirana
Prosecution regarding January 21st protests, when 4 protesters were
killed.
According to recent information, Tahiri was appealed by the prosecutors who wanted to interrogate him about the January 21st protest organization.
Tahiri expressed for the media the readiness of the Socialist Party for contributing in resolving the case of this tragedy.
“I testified about what I saw on January 21st. We are ready to help in resolving the January 21st crimes”, Tahiri declared.
Although 11 months have passed, the investigations about this case have not brought anything new, to the point that the family members made an official request for being acquainted with the trial progress.
The Court of Appeal in Tirana decided to leave in power the decision of the First Degree Court, for the security measure “Obligation to appear in court” against Sadik Çela.
The Council of Ministers used more than half of the civil emergencies reserve fund for this protest.
