The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, gathered the working team for the
opposition’s program, the key word of which was the justice system.

By relating the January 21st events with the current system, Rama condemned the “barbarian” attacks launched to the Prosecutor General by the government, with the only goal to avoid the revealing of the truth.

“The government has attacked the prosecution in the most barbarian way, and the Prosecutor General became a target, only for not allowing her to reveal the truth of the January 21st events. How can EU accept a country with a government that conceals the evidence for not allowing the truth to come out”, Rama declared.

“It is impossible to pretend that EU could accept Albania, when the equality in front of the law and the functionality of justice is one of the biggest  problems of the society”, he declared.

According to Rama, not only EU cannot accept a country that cannot resolve the problems with the truth, but even the Albanian citizens cannot have a future when they are threatened by injustice each day, depended on a system of abuses that are related with the interests of the governing power.

Rama underlined that it is very important for SP to answer to all the justice related questions that the Albanians might have.

“Let us answer to their long questions about the way how the Albanian justice should function. This is the challenge that we should face in all professional capacities, that we shpould make available for our program”, Rama declared.

“January 21st is a challenge that is not related with an investigation process and then a judicial one, but with the functionality of the rule of law in Albania. If this challenge will not be won by justice, with a truth proved with facts and evidence, January 21st will serve as a heavy brick in the establishment of an injustice system”, declared the opposition leader.
