By request of the Prosecution, the Court of Tirana summoned the
Socialist MPs, Tom Doshi, Paulin Sterkaj and Besnik Bare, to testify on
the January 21st events.
The testimony of the Socialist MPs will be added to the long list of witnesses, 30 of who are the National Guard soldiers, and 40 other officers are on the list.
The Prosecution has refused to interrogate 17 of them, one of the officers that failed to appear in court will be brought by force by the police.
During this session the Court rejected the previous request for liberating defendant Agim Llupo, saying that it was not based on evidence.
Llupo’s defending lawyer had previously declared that the weapon had no serial number, but it was added to it because of the Prosecution’s charges, but the lawyers rejected it.
