The Criminal Court of Tirana district sentenced to 10 months in prison the January 21st protester from Shkoder, Gjin Ndreu.
He has been accused for resisting to police officers and for attacking on duty police agents. The defendant asked the judge for mercy and added that he deeply regretted what he had done.
The judge sentenced him to 15 months in prison, allowing him a sentence reduction for the repentance. Other people have been sentenced for the January 21st events. The prosecution has used video footage shot by the police and the media during the protest.
