President Atifete Jahjaga declared that gender equality is a long-term
goal of the democratic aspirations in the new state of Kosovo.
Jahjaga gave this declaration during a conference about the law implementation for gender equality in the new state.
“Democracy consists of having a full participation of all citizens and equality between men and women in the entire political, social and economic processes”, Jahjaga added.
The President declared that Kosovo is on the right track, since its government has two women Deputy Prime Ministers and Two Ministers, one of which leads the delegation of the talks with Serbia.
