Kosovo President, Atifete Jahjaga valued the operation of the Special
Forces for the control of the border checkpoints 1 and 31 in Northern Kosovo.
During a visit at the Special Forces base, near Prishtina Airport, President Jahjaga declared that border control is a sovereign and nonnegotiable right of the Republic of Kosovo.
“For this reason we will not dialogue with anyone, but we will cooperate. This is the way we see EULEX and KFOR missions, in order to preserve peace and stability in the Republic of Kosovo”, Jahjaga declared.
The head of Europe’s youngest country congratulated Kosovo Special Forces for their mission, declaring that in these days they have been Kosovo’s pride.
“You earned the respect of all Kosovo citizens with the mission that you carried out for controlling the border between Kosovo and Serbia. This is a duty in which you succeeded, and made possible for the first time in our 12 years of freedom to control the entire Kosovo territory”, Jahjaga declared.
During this visit, the Kosovo President honored the fallen agent Enver Zymberaj, who lost his life during July 25th operation.
