Italy will lobby for Albania’s status

The Italian Prime Minister, Enrico Letta, declared that Italy will lobby
for Albania to receive the candidate status within a few days.
In the joint conference with the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, Letta valued the reforms undertaken by the new government and promised strong support in the efforts with the skeptical countries.
“There’s no doubt that Albania has the chances for a positive answer. We discussed and valued the other forms of how we should work in the next days, to convince the countries that are skeptic due to special aspects. Prime Minister Rama knows that the European family is wide and complex. Our work with these countries is very important and we are convinced about this”, declared the Prime Minister of Italy, Enrico Letta.
Rama underlined the fact that Albania deserves a positive answer, which could serve the realization of the necessary reforms.
Both Prime Ministers valued the cooperation climate and the strong relations between the two countries. Rama mentioned that Albania is happy to welcome investments from Italy by guaranteeing a positive business climate.
