A strong explosion woke today the town of Roccheta, in Liguria, Italy, causing serious injuries to an Albanian citizen.

Skender Melja, 53, is hospitalized at the Specialized Center for burns, fighting for his life.

The hospital declared that he has third second and third degree burnings in 90% of the body.

The explosion was caused by a gas leak, and it is unknown if it was an accident or intentional by the Albanian, who lived alone in the two-storey building, now completely ruined.

Many forces were sent to the scene, even a helicopter, suspecting for many victims, due to the big explosion.

Only yesterday a similar explosion took place in the southern town of Conversano, Bari, where a couple and their 18 month child died.
