The Trans Adriatic Pipeline consortium has declared the winning company
that will build the underground gas pipeline that will go through
Albania to Italy.
The agreement was signed with the Italian “Saipem” company specialized for such constructions. They will build 105 kilometers of tubes from the Fier Gas Pumping Station to the San Foca area of Puglia, Italy.
The work will be carried ou 820 meters deep with the specialized ship “Castorone”. The tube diameter will be 91.4 centimeters. This tender concludes the entire cycle of agreements for building the TAP pipeline from Azeraijan to Italy. They winner for the construction in land were declared earlier.
Saipem is a giant Italian company operating in 60 states with 43.000 employees and 60 years of experience in the industry.
