Albano Carrisi, the Italian singer who also has Albanian citizenship,
was honored by the Municipality of Tirana with the Key of the City.
He was received by Mayor Erion Veliaj, who honored him for contributing to the artistic and cultural life of Albania, and also for improving the friendship ties between both countries.
The Mayor thanked Albano for choosing Tirana for his next concert.
Albano arrived to Tirana by invitation of the “Al Bano Carrisi” cultural association which will hold a concert tomorrow at the Mother Theresa square in Tirana.
The concert celebrates the proclamation of Mother Theresa as saint, and to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the first concert of Albano and Romina Power in Tirana, in September 17th 1989.
