The Democratic Party first declaration about the electors’ list was
given exactly through Kastriot Islami, a former Socialist Party
Parliament Member who will run for another mandate with this party.
The former Socialist Parliament Member attacked what he called “the clientelist duo of the Socialist Party”, Rama and Kokedhima. According to Islami, Kokedhima has profited from Rama when he was Mayor of Tirana.
“Kokedhima received 19 million USD when Rama was Mayor of Tirana. When Rama and Koco divided their tenders, the common and honest Socialists supported Rama without thinking that they were helping Kokedhima to fill his pockets so that he could help the Socialist Party”, Islami declared.
By avoiding the direct declaration to ask for votes for the Democratic Party, Islami asked for votes that would penalize Edi Rama.
“In this situation, stopping Koco Kokedhima from filling his pockets is not a duty of the honest Socialist voters, but of the entire nation”, Islami declared.
