Investment for 2015, Ahmetaj: The highest figure of the past 5 years. MPs have remarks

The government will invest 80 billion ALL or 5.4% of the GDP during the
next year. The Minister of Economic Development, Arben Ahmetaj, said
that this is the highest figure in the past five years.

“This is a record breaking figure. It reduces the deficit, it reduces the public debt, it preserves the level in many sectors, increases the social budget, increases the subventions for energy and doesn’t touch the social rights”, Ahmetaj declared.

The total fund of investments is divided in two parts. 67.5 billion ALL are invested in national projects, while 12.5 billion ALL will go through the regional fund of development that the local government administers.

But the division of this fund among the areas has caused strong debates between the MPs of the majority.

“Investments in northern districts are twice lower, compared to the southern districts. The prediction for 2015, referring to the distribution of funds one year ago, needs to be more correct’, declared the Socialist Movement for Integration MP, Gjovalin Kadeli.

“It is much easier to divide Albania, Mr.Godelli. Let’s not touch this part”, declared the Chairman of the Commission of Economy, Erjon Brace.
