Investigations for Santo’s assassination

Police intensive investigations are implicating the Gjozi cousins from Lezhe even more in the murder of banker Artan Santo.

A few hours after the crime, the police took Klodian and Sajmir Gjozi as suspects and blocked a Suzuki motorcycle near the Bubq village. The motorcycle looked like the one used during the murder.

The experts found remains of gunpowder on the hands of the suspects. Although they deny the crime, the police has kept adding information to their previous police files.

Greek authorities informed that one of them, Klodian Gjozi, has served seven years of prison in Greece for murder, from 2004 to 2011. Right after being released, he was arrested with his brother over drug traffic.

He was caught selling cocaine in Athens, but was released one year later. Police suspects that Klodian Gjozi, who had used the identity Dilaver Gjozi in the past, is a dangerous element and suspected of armed robbery.

The motorcycle that was seized looks like the one reported stolen this January in Thessaloniki. Police is still working for a motive.

Although the suspicions of their involvement are deeper now, what remains a mystery is their motive.
