The death of 17 year old Ardit Gjoklaj in the Sharra landfill has triggered investigations from the Prosecution Office not only for the cause of death, but also for his employment there.

From the testimonies gathered until now some of the other employees of “3R” company that operates in the landfill have recognized the teenager working there from some time, while others did not recall him. Prosecutors suspects he was not working legally there, because his name was not on the employees’ list.

Regarding investigations of the teenager’s death, Edmond Kallari, driver of the heavy machines the night the accident is thought to have occurred, says it was raining and he did not see the boy at any time. But forensic suggests the 17 year old has several broken bones and other injuries that could be caused only by heavy machines like those that operate there.

3 people have been arrested until now related to the case, all three employees of the company “3R”, while the manager is declared wanted.
