Investigation for Lottery tender

Balla declared that everyone who was involved in the licensing process of the Austrian Lottery should not be happy, because the next Socialist government will start an investigation in Albania and it will also include the President of the Austrian Company.

Balla, same as the opposition leader, Edi Rama, reiterated that the Socialist government would cancel the license.

“I want to say to Sali berisha that the National Lottery license, for which he received cash in Vienna more than the entire Ministry of Finances will receive in September, will be returned back to the Albanians by us. Austrian Lottery is under investigation for corruption in its own country, and it buys a license in Albania 100 times cheaper than in Austria. This not only needs investigations, but it must be blocked at any cost. I want to warn this company that we will ask an investigation for corruption in Albanian, Austria and wherever there have been cash payments and bribes. We will reveal all their arrangements. Austrian Lottery must know that the comedy-tender of Ridvan Bode does not count, and for the license they have agreed with Zeni (Shkelzen Berisha, Prime Minister’s son). We will cancel it and return it to the Albanians. We cannot allow a property of 100 million EUR to be taken from the Albanians, just because Zeni (Shkelzen Berisha, PM’s son) agreed in Austria”, Balla declared.

Taulant Balla raised another problem, that of the money transfer outside Albania by people who are connected with the government.

“I know that Berisha gets angry when people mention Shkelzen, but the Constitution does not say that the Prime Minister’s children have immunity. Although without immunity, Berisha is withholding Albania from your regime, and is milking the black cows of your corruption. What immunity hampered the Prosecution or the High Inspectorate for the Declaration and Audit of Assets to investigate the way how Berisha’s son has been enriched, who benefits within one year more than the budgets of the Librazhd, Prrenjas, Bulqize and Gramsh municipalities. It was not immunity, but the institutional violence and the banal threats of Sali Berisha for ‘boulevard whores and thugs’ what withheld the war against corruption in Albania. Berisha, his ministers and his family are sending abroad the money that they have stolen through corruption in Albania, each week. They were going to take even the oil wells, the mines, the rivers, the hydropower plants and the seaside lands if they would have the opportunity, but fortunately, these assets are still here”, Balla declared.
