Interior Minister Tahiri meets John Kerry

The US State Secretary, John Kerry, had a short meeting with the
Albanian Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, at the premises where is
organized the summit against terrorism.

Minister Tahiri expressed his gratitude to the State Secretary for the help that the US has given to Albania. He asked a special support for fighting terrorism and its causes.

According to the Ministry of Interior, Mr.Tahiri declared that poverty and ignorance are encouraging crime and terrorism, and that’s why is needed a stable and regional approach to fight the causes that bring terrorism”.

The State Secretary expressed the readiness of the US to keep supporting Albania in the fight against terror.
