Interior Minister Çuçi on Veliu’s departure: New energy was needed for goals of the third term

He praised the work done in these four years in the State Police by former head Ardi Veliu whoi resigned earlier, while adding that the new director has the challenge to advance the performance of his predecessor.

“I believe that all indicators of the police sector speak of an increase and established standards of performance by the State Police. Mr. Nano replacing Veliu, without question there is a challenge to advance this excellent performance of the police in these years. The extinguishing of the candle, the situations with the opposition in the commissions, are all indications that we have reached a standard.

“We always set goals, aim for the best. Our only constant is change.

“Now we bring a new energy, with the aim of fulfilling the objectives and commitments that we have taken in the third term of the government”, said among other things the Minister of Interior.
