The Minister of EU Integration, Klajda Gjosha, met with the highest officials of the European Commission in Brussels.
Gjosha met with Mrs.Michela Matuella, Director for Enlargement and Neighboring Policies for Albania and Bosnia Herzegovina, and then with the Director for Western Balkan at the Enlargement Directory, Jean Eric Paquet, and other EC experts.
In these meetings they discussed about Albania’s progress with the five key priorities, while the EC representatives valued the implementation of the terms and measures left in the guide book, and also for the reforms undertaken by Albania for the integration process.
The EC experts focused on the first priority, the creation of a professional and depoliticized administration that, according to them, has had tangible and positive results. But the work for further implementation has to continue, they said.
The EC representatives focused on the necessity for a judiciary reform, seeing it as the key that will push forward Albania’s integration.
Minister Gjosha expressed maximal commitment by the Albania government and good will to cooperate with all actors, in order to complete this reform as soon as possible.
