The fulfillment of the 11 remaining priorities set by the European
Commission and the finalization of the action plan that the Albanian
government has for the integration has gathered a group of integration
NGOs at the Ministry of Integration.

Majlinda Bregu, Minister of Integration, summarized the current developments of the integration processes.

According to her, the objections, suggestions and propositions that will come from the civil society will serve for having a complete process, especially with their involvement in the action plan. Mr. Bregu reiterated the responsibility of the opposition with their Parliamentary boycott, as the main cause for not fulfilling the political criteria in the first six priorities, which caused the loss of the EU candidate status.

“We expect to have no such obstacles. It is very important that other qualified majority laws get passed in Parliament, together with other steps”, Bregu declared during the meeting, in which was present the head of the EU delegation in Tirana, Ettore Sequi, who declared that the role of the civil society is a precondition for an efficient plan.
