The concerns raised by citizens in the recent days for an unexpected
increase of the car insurance increase have obliged Prime Minister Edi
Rama to meet with the representatives of the Insurance Agencies
Association.
The Prime Minister’s Press Office says that during this meeting, Rama underlined that this area is a huge development potential for Albania, and a complete strategy is needed for the future.
“This is the time to abandon once and for all the constant amends that have been made to this sector”, the Prime Minister declared.
The Prime Minister has asked the Minister of Economic Development, Arben Ahmetaj, to organize special consultation sessions with the Association of Insurance Agencies, so that a strategic plan can be prepared for this sector within one month.
Rama made it clear to the representatives of the insurance companies that the government’s stance is on keeping the public’s interest in the center of attention for the new strategy.
