Prime Minister Edi Rama was today in Fier, where some citizens and employees of the city’s oil refinery received him with protests.
One of the citizens reportedly insulted him and was later escorted by police.
Local opposition PD representative Luan Baçi said that 3 people were accompanied by the police, two of whom are members of the Fier DP branch, Afrim Vrenozi and Pandeli Tole.
“This behavior of the police and the government with members of the Democratic Party is permanent. I urge them to release them immediately because they have not committed any offence. The event was licensed. They have kept their distance. I call for their release because otherwise they will face the citizens later “, he said.
