The leaders of the main law enforcing agencies gathered in a special
meeting for exchanging information in the fight against the financial
crime.

The information exchange for the fight against corruption will be an encouragement for hitting criminal assets.

The Prosecutor General declared after the meeting that it is necessary to group all institutions in this war.

“The new cooperation memorandum, together with the other novelties, will have this group of institutions cooperating with a series of others institutions that are part of this structure, and will reinforce the cooperation with other international inspections, in order to collect data in function of the investigation”, declared Prosecutor General, Adriatik Llalla.

The Minister of Interior underlined that the fight against criminal assets remains a priority. For him, the memorandum is necessary.

“We decided that a joint working group should review the cooperation instruments, the memorandum on one hand and the legal structure on the other. We also decided that the law-enforcing agencies should coordinate their work on a monthly basis. There should be joint investigations in the fight against economic and financial crime, money laundering and investigation of unjustified assets. We are determined to not allow the crime world enjoy their dirty money”, Tahiri declared.
