Individual income statement

“Since this is the first time, the incomes created during 2012 must be declared within the end of this month. All individuals are obliged to fulfill the income statement form”, declared Alfred Rrushaj, Deputy Minister of Finances.

Although those with higher incomes than 2 million ALL annually are obliged to make the income statement, another category of citizens – those with lower incomes than 1.5 million annually – will have benefits.

“There are some categories that benefit in health, education and pension reimbursements”, Rrushaj declared.  

This is the first time that Albania tries to make the personal income statement. The Ministry of Finances says that whoever avoids this obligation will face severe punishments.

“Failing to make the income statement means that the individual has lower incomes than 2 million ALL annually. If the investigations show the contrary, there will be severe fines”, Rrushaj declared.

The individual income statement form can be submitted even electronically, but since it is the first time, those individuals who have difficulties to fill the form can ask help at the tax offices.
