The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, covered Athens in red and black while meeting the Albanian emigrants in the Greek capital.
Accompanied by the Mayors of Tepelene, Lushnje, Ballsh, Pogradec and Saranda, and also by MP Taulant Balla and the SP Secretary for Youth, Erjon Veliaj, Rama appealed the emigrants to become part of the great change of 2013, a change that according to Rama will affect all Albanians, wherever they are.
“Same as you started walking towards another country, with nothing in your pocket but a great dream and an extraordinary will, this is the day to start this trip once again and return to Tirana to vote”, Rama declared.
The opposition leader declared that this is the time for Albania to change with a politics that works for the citizens and not for the politicians’ pockets, and this is the time for a policy that supports the emigrants more than 20 years ago, who have held a great burden of the Albanian economy during this time.
“We want to change the relation that the Albanian state has with its emigrants. We want a state that doesn’t delay its citizens in long queues in consulates and embassies. We want a state that defends the rights of every emigrant, so that their contributions do not go in vain”, Rama underlined.
