Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Businesses say that the Administrative Court draft, which is under
Parliament discussion, is incomplete and risks not resolving commercial
conflicts. Luan Bregasi, President of Business Albania, declared that
the draft law does not complete the judicial cycle.
“The existing law does not include the third grade of trials, which is the Supreme Court. We have asked the creation of a judicial college for realizing our first mission, a quicker trial (when needed, because not everything can go to the Supreme Court). This college should function for legislative administration matters”, Bregasi declared.
Bregasi says that besides providing a quicker trial, the law should also guarantee quality, and this is up to the government.
“We would ask strong and clear criteria, far from the clientele criteria in the selection of the citizens. A law is made functional by the people that will implement it”, Bregasi declared.
Businesses say that if the law remains incomplete, the Administrative Court will risk being a simple product of a formal political consensus that will not help the entrepreneurs.
“We see the passing of this law as an obligation for both political parties, but one of these obligations should guarantee the quality of the law”, declared the head of Business Albania.
The Administrative Court draft is being discussed at the Parliamentary Commissions and will be approved in Parliament soon.
