Income tax removed for wages under 30.000

The opposition were not present, since they want another model, that of the progressive tax.

“Our variant reduces taxes for wages to 15.000 ALL. Only 4% of the employed will have higher taxes”, declared the Socialist MP, Arben Ahmetaj.

The Socialists want that the average class also benefits from the lowered taxes, but the government says that this category has been compensated with another move.

“Teachers, doctors, nurses and all average employees do not benefit from this law”, declared Erion Brace.

“For these we have increased wages”, Rrushaj declared.

According to the Ministry of Finances, the individuals who profit from this law are receiving 25 million USD each year by the government. For the opposition this is a minimal correction of the injustice that this category has suffered from the government for five years.

Besides removing the income tax, the draft foresees that the individuals with incomes up to 1 million ALL each year will have a compensation for the building tax, if they fulfil the income declarations.

The majority at the Commission of Economy voted the law that stops local businesses to collect taxes for antennas that are put by private companies in public spaces.
