Incident with Serbs in Northern Kosovo

32 Kosovo policemen were injured today in Kosovo, after clashing with
Serbian attackers who came from Serbia for celebrating the Vidovdan Day
and threw stones and hard objects against the Kosovo forces.
The Kosovo Interior Minister, Bajram Rexhepi, declared that a group of 70 people that arrived with buses, entered the Kosovo territory through the northern checkpoints and provoked the Kosovo Police at Mitrovica’s Iber River Bridge.
Then they marched to Vushtrri, for the Vidovdan celebrations, and used provocative banners against the local stability and peace.
This group that is believed to be part of the Crvena Zvezda football fans, from Belgrade, have provoked the citizens, hence the Police decided to accompany them until their return home, according to Minister Bajram Rexhepi.
“After crossing the border, they started throwing stones to the Kosovo Police, who have made their duty and have restrained themselves from using fire weapons”, Rexhepi declared.
