Incident with political banners in Shijak

The meeting of the Socialist Party in the town of Shijak has started with an incident. A few minutes before the meeting, two cars with Democratic Party banners have passed near the socialist demonstrators chanting in favor of their political force and against the opposition.

This was enough for the SP supporters to abandon the preparations for the meeting and have a physical clash with the democratic militants.

The clash has continued for several minutes, finding the police unprepared, which, because of the small numbers, were not able to stop the fight between the groups.

The brawl ended after the two cars of the Democratic Party went off in different directions. This incident has affected the announcement of the SP candidate in Shijak, Indrit Buka.

This is not the first time for Shijak to host political clashes between the respective supporters. In 2007, during the partial elections, the Socialist Party candidate, Igli Çela, withdrew from the race by calling the process illegal.

Almost the same situation was created in Shijak on February 2007, when a vehicle rushed through the crowd of socialist supporters, fortunately without victims.
