Incident at the hunger strike

The hunger strike has degenerated on its 10th day in offenses and
violent acts, after a group of employees who were fired in 2011 from the
Tirana Municipality, tried to join the hunger strike of those who have
been fired from the public administration.

Although the conversation was calm in the beginning, and the protesters seemed to welcome this group who had a Court verdict with them, everything precipitated when the party headquarters were mentioned.

After this, everything degenerated in offenses and physical confrontation. The hunger strike protesters considered this a provocation.

“I am not defending the Municipality or insulting the Prime Minister. I want to return to work. We want the support of everyone who has been fired illegally”, declared Nertila Qafzezi, the head of the strike.

After the conflict, one of the hunger strike protesters was transported to hospital. The group of people who were fired from the municipality left the scene after the conflict.
