Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The frontyard of the “Ismail Qemali” gymnasium in the capital was filled today with teachers waiting to be vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The teachers of 6 high schools of Tirana, a total of 300 employees, are being vaccinated in 3 vaccination centers for teachers, along with the one in the gymnasium “Petro N. Luarasi” and the 9-year school “4 Dëshmorët”.
“We went through Covid gravely as a family. The vaccine is a guarantee, a hope, a security for us, the students and their families”, says one of the staff members.
“I just passed the disease and I will not do the vacine, but I came to learn when I should apply”, adds another.
“I have been a teacher for 38 years. Me here, and my sun living in Italy have all been vaccinated.”
Another vaccine enthusiast said: “Vaccines have saved humanity. Of course I was emotionally prepared, I was looking forward to it. It also gives me security for my grandchildren. We have been a year with this disease and we as a risk category are being vaccinated among the first, this is not without purpose “.
