While the Albanian President, Ilir Meta, has published some comments against the judiciary reform, the head of the International Monitoring Operation, Genoveva Calavera, said from the Poznan Summit in Poland that some Albanian citizens will go to prison.
“We want to see the laws getting implemented. We want to see people in prison, their criminal assets should be seized. We want to have enough evidence, not just laws, to prove that the system is consolidated. I can only hope that in Albania, when the system is getting a shakedown, all politicians can understand the value this reform”, she said.
The Head of the IMO mission, Genoveva Calavera, declared that the judiciary reform, which has been attacked by President Meta, is going in the right direction. Calavera said that Albania will achieve a great position to make up for the time that has been lost so far.
