“I Am Like You” Centre in Berat

The “I am like you” centre in Berat received attention from donators and
many associations after appealing on Top Chanenl to help the children
that are sheltered there and who work in very bad conditions, lacking of
the most basic needs, such as proper food, clothes, medicine or heat.
The Red Cross and the General Directory of Social Service, whose Director Kozeta Mesiti was accompanied by several donors, brought aids promising that the projects for this centre will be a priority for them.
The director of the Centre, Irfan Myftari, confirmed that the donations will help for a normal New Year, and that he is waiting funds for its continuity.
“We thank everyone that reacted to our situation. We saw the reaction of Mrs.Kozeta Mesiti, who arrived with her staff, and we are distributing together these donations for the New Year’s celebrations. I am also waiting for a reaction from the Ministry of Social Matter for the reconstruction of the building”, Myftari declared.
27 children of the “I am like you” centre are waiting a fund for the maintenance of the centre.
