Verdi Morava, one of the people arrested and accused of recruiting
Albanians to Sria, claimed that his rights have been violated. He asked
the Ombudsman to follow his hunger strike closely, which has entered now
on the 12th day.
The suspect says that he was forgotten by the authorities in detention, and no one has made any clear suspicions about him. Morava claims that his image was also damaged. The same thing was claimed by his father, the 48 year old Dielli Morava.
“The main institutions, the Ombudsman, the Court of Human Rights and these human rights organizations are interested because this is the 12th day that my son is on a hunger strike, and no fact has been given for his arrest. This is not only the problem of my son, but it should be problem for everyone”, says Dielli Morava, father of the suspect.
When contacted by Top Channel, the General Director of Prisons, Artur Zoto, confirmed the hunger strike while the Adviser of the Prosecutor General, Albi Serani, said that Morava, together with 9 other suspects, are charged of sending Albanian citizens to fight in Syria.
