Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future
The European Union will continue to finance the judicial system reform
in Albania. According to the EU ambassador, Ettore Sequi, everyone must
see progress in this system, so that Albania’s institutions will be
ready to conduct democratic investigation.
The ambassador asked further reforms, by considering them as a country’s key aspirations for joining EU.
During this meeting, the head of the Supreme Court, Shpresa Becaj, asked the politics to stay away from the judicial system and not interfere, while Prosecutor Ina Rama said that it is difficult to make justice in Albania.
“We all know that it is difficult to make justice in Albania, but we all know that it is possible. Altogether, we are determined to understand that justice is set by our will and efforts. We will work more and give our best for realizing this goal”, the Prosecutor Ina Rama declared.
“The problems should be addressed to the people vested with the power to administer the recruiting, promotion and transfer of honest judges and prosecutors, and for discharging irresponsible and corrupted ones”, declared the Minister of Justice, Eduard Halimi.
The Vice Chairman of the High Council of Justice, Kreshnik Spahiu, declared that on the verge of the 100th year of independence, we will show that we have been trying for 100 years to make a state and make everything possible for proving that Albania will not have its EU candidate status rejected for the third time.
According to ambassador Sequi, the EU countries have given 100 million EUR in the last 15 years, only for Albania.
