Dritero Agolli was honored by the “Kosovo Writers League” and the “Jakup
Ceraja Writers’ Association” in the center of Mitrovica.
A group of writers and artists came from Kosovo and visited the writer in his residence.
They wished Dritwro Agolli a happy 80 birthday and handed him over the prize that honors his unique literary creation.
The author of some of the Albania’s best books, such as “Splendour and fall of comrade Zylo”, “Man with Cannon”, thanked the guests from Kosovo for valuing his work.
For more than 60 years, the works of Dritëro Agolli have left marks in the history of the Albanian culture, and not only.
He has been for a long time leader of the Writers and Artists League of Albania, while his works have been translated and read in several countries of the world.
Agolli’s 80th anniversary was celebrated on October 13th, in a ceremony held at the Academy of Arts, where his figure received maximal honors.
One day later, the Albanian writer celebrated his Birthday with the MPs of the Socialist Party, to whom he offered his advises for the opposition’s role.
