The success of the Kosovo movie “Home” has reached the Security Council of the United Nations Organization.
The UK representative at the UN Security Council mentioned the success of this movie as a positive example for Kosovo’s progress.
“The British-Kosovo movie won the first BAFTA prize for short movies, the first for Kosovo after “Shok’s” nomination at the Oscars, last year. It shows that Kosovo’s cultural sector is getting stronger each day”, the UK representative said.
The movie, written and directed by Daniel Mulloy, with Jack O’Connel and Holliday Grainger in leading roles, was shot in Kosovo and Britain, supported by the UN team in Kosovo and many others.
It brings to the public’s attention the situation of refugees and the violence that many people around the world are facing due to various conflicts.
Kosovo Producent Shpat Deda also received the Bafta trophy.
