Homage in Santo’s honor

Thousands of people were part of the homage for Mr.Santo, a successful businessman and an active member of the society.

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and the Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta, were also part of this ceremony and left their message on the memory book.

The Parliament Speaker and the opposition leader declared that the authors need to be found at any cost, while the Head of the Secret Service said they had no data about any threats against him.

“My deepest condolences to his family members and colleagues. We will never stop looking for the authors. This brutal hand must be stopped, in order to give peace to his family, to the Albanian people and our society”, Meta declared.

“Condolences to the family. I hope that God will make it easier for this unbearable pain. This was a macabre crime in the heart of Tirana, planned and executed as a terror act, to plant fear and terror. As such, it will serve as an appeal to all citizens to raise and stop this”, Basha declared.

“Crime doesn’t kill bankers. Either they wanted to take something from him, or they trying to find something. We will find it. In Albania it’s not that crimes cannot be resolved, they are simply forgotten”, declared lawyer Spartak Ngjela.

The former Prime Minister, Fatos Nano, declared that Santo will be missed by everyone. “He left all of us with an empty feeling that cannot be overcome easily. He was the example of using freedom for the others, and who raised the values of a free society”, Nano declared.

The Governor of Bank of Albania, Ardian Fullani, declared that this was the loss of a talented banker who created an institution that was able to withstand the crisis.

“The bank has a prepared staff, motivated to continue its work. We are paying the last respect to this man in order to continue his work and to have not only a solid institution, but also an important institution for the Albanian economy”, Fullani declared.
