Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Since 2005, when the Democratic Party came to power, on 28 November is
not celebrated only the independence day, but also the fallen martyrs.
Although this jubilee has taken the hearts of all Albanians, authorities from Albania and Kosovo did not leave in the shadow the Nation’s Martyrs, but they commemorated them in front of the Mother Albania monument.
The Liberation Day is remembered by honouring the mend and women who sacrificed themselves for the country. This is the best occasion to celebrate the fact that the Albanians joined the right side during the Second World War.
Almost seven decades after the country’s Liberation, the Albanians are a NATO member and they see themselves on the right side of history once again.
